Ways You can Help

We understand that some people just don't have time time to give but they are happy to contribute supplies or donations to further support the Humane Society and the animals in our care.

Donations of supplies can be delivered to the Second Chance store in Fairfax, VA (housed in the same building as our administrative offices -- call for hours: 703-385-7387), or to the newly opened Second Chance 2 store located at 929 West Broad Street, Falls Church VA. Call 703-533-9268 for their hours of operation. You can also arrange for larger items to be picked up by calling 703-385-7387.

Tax deductible donations in the form of cash or checks can be made payable to HSFC and mailed to HSFC, 4057 Chain Bridge Road, Fairfax, VA 22030.

Other opportunities include Bequests, Wills, Living Trusts, Donation of Property and Stock Donations. It should be noted that any funds distributed under a Bequest reduce the amount of taxes levied against the estate.

You can also support the HSFC through your company or business as many offer a matching gift program. Children can participate as well through group activities such as Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts and the local Girls and Boys Clubs.

Many people provide support as a gift for a special occasion, to mark a particular anniversary or event, or in memory of a loved one.

Purchases might lead to a percentage payment to the HSFC.
